Why We Think You Should Choose Us

  • We make all our sails with true passion and a wealth of experience.
  • Our sails are known for their top quality at reasonable prices, we only use top quality sail cloth from the leading manufacturers.
  • We have "skin in the game" - our CEO Sven actively sails a Finn Dinghy and his kids compete at a high level in the Optimist class.

Our One Design sails include Finn Dinghy, Optimist class and Hobie 16, our One Design Sails offer performance for top-level international championship competition, as well as opportunity to use innovative training sails.

Why We Make One Design Sails

Our Optimist class sails, for example, are tried and tested not just by anyone, but by our own kids who keenly race out on the water and who give direct and honest feedback.

And the true reason for making Optimist class sails?  Rolly Tasker Sails CEO Sven answers with a smile: “Of course, I do not want to see my own kids sailing with any other brand of sails but our own!”  And, naturally, neither can he, in the Finn Dinghy…

This is truly passionate sailmaking

Optimist Sails

Passionate Sailing, World-Class Performance.

At Rolly Tasker Sails, our journey into Optimist sailing is deeply personal.  It started when our CEO, Sven Cornelius, wanted his kids to discover the passion of sailing for themselves.  He got them into Opti-sailing, and now they’re racing their first small regattas!

When it was time for new sails, the decision was simple: Why buy from the competition when we can make our own world-class One Design sails?

But these sails are more than just a family project.  Driven by this genuine enthusiasm, Rolly Tasker Sails committed to developing Opti sails that meet the highest professional standards.

For over 1.5 years, our sails were rigorously tested and refined by World Championship level sailors to ensure they deliver top performance and consistency.

Join us and experience sails that combine family dedication with World Championship quality!

How We Make Your Sails

  • All our sails are made in our state-of-the-art, purpose-built sail-loft with laser tech by our highly skilled staff:  All One Design sails are laser cut for the utmost accuracy.
  • We use the highest quality sail cloth.
  • Sail design refined during a 1.5-year trial and testing phase with successful racing sailors at international level including the World Championships.
  • Driven by passion and emotional involvement through our own children.
  • Our core business is top quality, reliable and performance cruising sails, but through our involvement in one-design classes we can also cater for and foster young talent in sailing.
  • We have proved that we can successfully rise to the challenge of producing top quality sails for extremely competitive racing at the highest, international level.
  • We go back to our roots.  Rolly Tasker Sails began with racing sails for one-design classes

Finn Dinghy Sails - Speed by Design

·       Finn dinghy race sails designed and built to  championship level.

·       Designed individually to match your mast curve.

·       Highly sophisticated design and construction.

·       Hands-on development over years of racing by German Finn sailor and sailmaker.

Why We Make Finn Dinghy Sails

Rolly Tasker Sails have now developed sails for the Finn Dinghy, a highly competitive and technical racing dinghy class.  Our new Finn Dinghy sails are innovative by design to deliver pure speed on the water for champions and ambitious dinghy racing enthusiasts alike.

It began, when our CEO Sven decided to take up sailing in the Finn class — so we have a real personal interest in making the best and fastest sails for these demanding boats.

Finn sailing gives Sven the chance to expand on his usual family sailing and also to get on the water more often.  However, the Finn class is highly competitive, so making sails here was a bold choice and a challenge!

It is, however, in the company’s DNA and history — our founder Rolly Tasker was a world-class dinghy racing champion (and Olympic sailor) in his time and he would surely have approved of Sven’s move into the international and formerly Olympic Finn class!

Why choose Rolly Tasker Sails for the Finn Dinghy?

  1. Made from proven, top quality sail fabric ODL04 by Dimension Polyant.
  2. Luff curve and sail profile designed specifically to match the mast curve, individually tailored for the sailor.
  3. Made with all the experience of our professional sailmakers, utilising the technology available in our high-tech loft.
